TVES Science Fair 2014
Submitted by Trinity Valley Elementary School
Young scientists displayed their work at the 2014 Trinity Valley Science Fair on Wednesday, February 26th. In addition to student displays, Jackie Hamilton from KEET TV offered hands-on activities for all. Students made balloon vehicles and launched them on a zip-line. Jackie provided a variety of materials for the young engineers to build with and create. Some vehicles sailed smoothly and others needed adjusting.
The Parent-Teacher Organization hosted a Scholastic Book Fair which generates money to support student activities throughout the school year. The event was well attended and fun was had by people of all ages.
This year’s Science Fair was dedicated to Mr. John Mason who taught science at Trinity Valley from 1987-2007. Over his twenty years he enriched the lives of many families and he is greatly missed. His smile, sense of humor, and dedication to teaching will never be forgotten.
A special thank you goes out to the judges who volunteered their time and spent hours studying and judging each project. They were John Martinez, Sara Tamis, Amanda Lee, Richard Sheets, Amanda Platt, John Pinto, and Tim Shoop.
