TWO RIVERS TRIBUNE

The Love List, a contemporary adult comedy by Norm Foster, opens the latest season for Redbud Theater in Willow Creek. In this side-splitting and thought-provoking new comedy, Leon and Bill concoct a list of attributes of the ideal woman – the top ten best qualities in a mate.  When this allegedly “Ideal Woman” actually arrives on the scene the men quickly learn that their list could use a few revisions.  Be careful what you wish for – especially in choosing a mate.  This old adage leads to hilarious results in Foster’s sparkling new comic hit. Given the adult nature of the play it is not recommended for children.

The play stars John Pinto, Richard Junkin and Libby Pinto and is directed by Rick Stewart, all veterans of previous Redbud productions. Redbud has been culture and entertainment for the Trinity River community since the 1970’s. The group was incorporated as a community non-profit in 1983 and now makes its home at the Camp Kimtu Cookhouse near Veterans Park.

As has become a Redbud tradition going back to 1984, the season kicks off with a gala dinner show on Saturday March 8th. The Pork Wellington dinner includes appetizers, dessert and local wines. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:45 and the curtain will rise at 7:30. Tickets for the dinner performance are $35 and are available at Dream Quest in Willow Creek. Seating is limited; please get your tickets early.

Performances of the show continue on Friday and Saturday evenings, March 14-15 and 21-22 at 7:30 (doors open at 6:45). In addition there will be a matinee on Sunday March 16 at 2:30 (doors open at 1:45). Tickets are $10 each available at Dream Quest.
