The Big Chill

Snow covered the river bar where the Trinity River flows into the Klamath near Weitchpec after a blizzard dropped snow across Humboldt County on Friday, December 6. Students from the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District were sent home early on Friday. Schools throughout the District remained closed through Monday and reopened on Tuesday, December 10. The National Weather Service predicts that nighttime temperatures will drop near freezing for the rest of the week, with daytime high temperatures in the low to mid-50s through Friday, December 13./Photo by Kristan Korns, Two Rivers Tribune
