From Organic Vegetables to Humboldt County Bar
TWO RIVERS TRIBUNE
On December 9, 2013, Neal Latt was sworn in as an attorney and newest member of the Humboldt County Bar by the Honorable John Feeney at the Humboldt County Courthouse, with his wife, Karen Pawlyk-Latt, beside him.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University, Latt arrived in Orleans in 1992 with an interest in going back to the land.
Between the years of 1994-2005 he was a familiar face at local farmers markets in Arcata, Eureka and McKinleyville, where he sold much of the 80 tons of fresh organic vegetables he grew each year from off of a ten-acre river bar beside the mouth of Camp Creek in Orleans.
In 2010, Latt received a full merit scholarship to attend Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, graduating last May in the top eighth of his class.
Latt passed the bar exam on his first try, and was recently welcomed to the Eureka firm of Mathews, Kluck, Walsh & Wykle, LLP as an Associate, where his practice will focus on personal injury, land use claims, and marijuana defense.
