Charger Champions

The Trinity Valley Chargers took it to the Hoop and beyond, bringing back with them the first championship banner TVES earned in 20 years. The small, but mighty eighth grade boys basketball team traveled most of the season with the help of a dedicated group of parents who carpooled because of a lack of transportation funding. Solidarity and character gave this small team the winning combination to conquer their last tournament of the season, the coveted 45th Annual Crescent City JayCees 8th Grade Basketball Tournament. The Chargers won their first game against Scotia, then prevailed over South Fork sending them to win the championship game against Igo Ono, a team from the Redding area.
