February Student of the Month

Lena Neuner

Lena Marie Neuner moved to Orleans in April 2012. She grew up in Germany where she enjoyed all academic subjects especially History and French. This past year she has enjoyed going to Hoopa Valley High immensely, where she has met many new and interesting people and has made lots of invaluable experiences.  As a Karuk tribal member, moving to Orleans has brought her closer to her culture and she is very thankful to live here, close to the river and mountains. Next year, she hopes to attend the University of California at Santa Barbara where she can explore her interests and further her education. She would like to thank everyone who has supported and helped her through-out her life especially her mother and grand-parents who have always been there for her!
