A Fond Farewell
The time has come to close the doors to Laura’s Kitchen.
It has been the most enjoyable 23 years cooking and serving my customers. My customers and I have shared thoughts about everything from kids, your spouses, medical problems and especially listening to Black Snake’s crazy jokes.
Not only was food served, we were the dispatch center for sports. Whether it be football, basketball or baseball, someone was always calling to find out about the game.
I watched all the high school kids grow up from grammar school to later graduate from high school. They all called me Auntie.
You have been faithful customers through all these years and this is what kept my business open. I will miss all of you on a daily basis. However, I will be seeing you now and then just to keep up on the local news.
I would like to thank my family for always standing by me and filling in whenever I needed them. I also thank my employees, Robin, Alaina, Fay, Willie, and Jean. And also my past employees. All of my waitresses worked hard to keep the customers served properly. I have the highest respect for them.
A new door will open under new management. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the new owners, Nels and Kae-wett Nelson. They will see that the doors, every morning, open right on time for Zane, Hank, Mike and Snake.
Thank you again for all the respect that you all have given me for the past 23 years.
