Yes, We Can

A canning workshop sponsored by the UC Cooperative Extension Farm and Community Development, the Karuk Senior Meal Program and the USDA Beginning Farmer Rancher Grant was held on Saturday at the Karuk Senior Center Kitchen in Orleans. The free event attracted more than a dozen participants who learned how to preserve albacore, berries, fruit and tomatoes using both pressure cooker and water bath methods.
