Healing for Families and Communities

By Two Rivers Tribune Staff

A Family Camp will take place from August 13-15 at Pookey’s Park in Hoopa. This is a drug and alcohol free event. There will be men/boys and women/girls groups and activities, guest speakers, meth and suicide prevention and awareness, and a walk through the valley to pray for healing and awareness. Families in recovery are encouraged to attend. This will be a time for learning cultures values, and a time for healing and living a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. For information call the Hoopa Human Services (530) 625-4236.

  1. I am a clinical social work intern(LCSW). I would be interested in attending this event to learn/observe more about how the Hoopa tribe conducts prevention efforts in the community. I am currently applying with IHS in many States.

Do you have need for volunteers? I would be happy to volunteer and can camp out 3 nights. Can you please have someone give me a call?

    thanks Josephine 775-313-1470
