The Willow Creek Fire Safe Council (WCFSC) is planning two public workshops for the public review draft of the Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the Greater Willow Creek Area.
President Joe O’Hara invites all the public to attend and review this draft which has been in the making for almost a year. The WCFSC has worked closely with Trinity County, Humboldt County, CalFire, U.S. Forest Service, Willow Creek Volunteer Fire Dept., Salyer Volunteer Fire Dept., Hawkins Bar Volunteer Fire Dept., Willow Creek Community Service District, plus many individuals from the general public who took their time to attend meetings throughout the year giving input.
As we approach the final draft, which will be submitted to local agencies plus both Trinity Countyand Humboldt County for final approval, the WCFSC would like to provide one last opportunity for public review and input.
Meetings will be held Monday, Nov. 8 at Trinity Elementary School, Highway 96, Willow Creek and Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Burnt Ranch Elementary School in Burnt Ranch-times 6:30-8:30 pm. Refreshments will be served.
